Complete Production & Decoration Process
Step 1: Raw Material Melting
Cosmetic glass is mainly made of quartz sand, limestone, borax, plus auxiliary agents like colorants and clarifiers. All materials are mixed and melted at ultra-high temperature into uniform liquid glass inside furnaces.
Step 2: Molding & Annealing
Custom molds are manufactured first. Molten glass flows into molds, then goes through cooling, trimming and annealing to form blank glass bottles. Two mainstream molding methods are adopted: blow molding for narrow-neck lotion/essence bottles, and press-blow molding for wide-mouth cream jars. We supply various sizes from 5ml mini vials up to 200ml large bottles, with glass options including extra flint, clear, amber, green and opal white glass.
Step 3: Surface Finishing
Blank bottles can be customized with two popular decorative treatments:
Spray coating & UV electroplating:Creates matte, metallic or colored glass surfaces. Unit cost ranges from $0.06–$0.17 per piece, depending on coating area and color matching difficulty. Water pretreatment is critical to guarantee uniform coating.
Printing & branding: Three mainstream options for logos and texts:
High-temperature silk screen printing: Fade-resistant but with muted color tone, suitable for sterilized skincare products.
Low-temperature silk screen printing: Bright vivid colors yet prone to peeling without proper ink. It costs $0.03 per color; irregular shaped bottles count as double colors.
Hot stamping (gold/silver): Delivers luxury metallic effects at $0.09 per design.
We suggest limiting total printing & stamping procedures within 2 times — multi-color overprinting sharply raises defect rate and extra costs.
